The team captain of a very strong DeMatha Catholic High School team that captured the WCAC title this year, Ty had an outstanding senior season, finishing with 23 goals and 26 assists in 38 high school contests to earn second-team Washington Post All-Met, second-team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and second-team All-Mid-Atlantic Prep Hockey League honors. He was second on the DeMatha team in points and first in assists. Ty also was a key member of the Team Maryland 18U AAA team, finishing with 15 points in 47 games skating on the second and third lines. He received Washington Post All-Met honorable mention honors as a junior. This year he received an award as DeMatha's Hardest Working & Most Dedicated Player. Ty hopes to continue playing hockey at the midget AAA, junior or collegiate level. He had 1 goal in 4 games for Team DC last year. 

#12 John Cardellicchio - Forward '99
5-10, 165 lbs. - Reston Raiders 18U AA/Gonzaga College H.S.
Reston, VA

School - Team captain, Honorable Mention Washington Post All-Metro, Honorable Mention All-WCAC

John captained the top private school hockey team in the DMV this year as his Gonzaga Eagles captured the Mid-Atlantic Prep Hockey League championship by defeating Calvert Hall in the title game. For his efforts he received honorable mention All-Met recognition from The Washington Post as well as the WCAC. John notched 9 goals and 9 assists for Gonzaga in 28 contests and was one of the top players on a Reston Raiders AA team that captured the Chesapeake Bay Hockey League 18U championship. Returning for a second stint with Team DC, he hopes to continue playing hockey next year either at the college level or with a junior team. John recorded 1 assist in 4 games for Team DC in 2016.

#13 Nathan Dailey - Forward '99
5-10, 150 lbs. - Howard Huskies 18U AA/Mount St. Joseph H.S. 
Glen Burnie, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - Assistant team captain, All-MIAA A Conference

Nathan captained a Mount St. Joseph's team that defeated Calvert Hall in overtime to win the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship. His overtime goal in that contest against goalie and Team DC teammate Matt Schaab was the game-winner for the Gaels. For the season Nathan recorded 17 points on 8 goals and 9 assists for Mount St. Joe's en route to All-MIAA A Conference honors. He also played for a Howard Huskies 18U AA team that advanced to 18U USA Hockey Tier 2 Nationals. Nathan notched 17 points in 58 contests for the Huskies, including a goal at Nationals. His current plan for next year is to play ACHA Division I hockey for Towson University or junior hockey next year. 

#16 Jacob Kaplan - Forward '99
6-2, 190 lbs. - Tri-City Eagles 18U AA/DeMatha Catholic H.S.

Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - 1st-Team All-MAPHL, 1st-Team All-WCAC

Jacob was one of the top offensive threats on both his high school and club hockey teams. He led DeMatha in goals with 33 in 37 contests to go along with a team-best 55 points as the Stags captured the WCAC championship and advanced to the MAPHL semifinals. For his efforts with DeMatha Jacob was named both first-team All-MAPHL and All-WCAC. He was better than a point-per-game performer for his Tri-City Eagles 18U AA team as well, notching 42 points in 35 contests. Jacob is returning for his second stint with Team DC and hopes to play junior hockey next year at the highest level that he can. 

#17 Denis Kuzminov - Forward '98
5-10, 182 lbs. - Team Maryland 18U AAA/St. Mary's Ryken H.S. 
Klaipeda, Lithuania/Hollywood, MD

School - 1st-Team Washington Post All-Metro, 1st-Team All-MAPHL, 1st-Team All-WCAC

Denis solidified himself as one of the top high school players in the DC area by averaging better than two points per game for St. Mary's Ryken this year, finishing with 22 goals and 25 assists in 20 games en route to first-team Washington Post All-Met, All-MAPHL and All-WCAC accolades. This despite missing part of the season to play for Lithuania in the World Junior Championships, where he recorded 1 goal and 4 assists in 10 contests to help lead his country to the gold medal in Division 2 play. Denis also was an offensive leader for Team Maryland 18U AAA, finishing with 35 points in 42 contests despite missing a dozen games for the WJC. He also notched 21 points in 19 AYHL contests. #18 Griffin Long - Forward '99
6-0, 185 lbs. - Washington Little Caps18U AAA/St. John's College H.S.

Club - AYHL 18U AAA All-Star

Griffin has been one of the top '99 birthyears in the DMV for several years. As the team captain for St. John's this year he earned honorable mention Washington Post All-Met honors for the second straight year and was a first-team All-MAPHL and All-WCAC selection for the Cadets. He finished the high school season with 10 points in 10 MAPHL games to earn first-team all-league honors for the second straight season. Griffin also was an offensive catalyst for the Washington Little Caps, recording 23 points in 22 AYHL contests (9 goals, 14 assists). He added 7 more points in 22 NAPHL contests for the Little Caps in his fifth year playing at the Tier 1 level. He had 6 points in 8 NAPHL playoff games the past two years. Griffin hopes to continue playing hockey at the junior and ultimately NCAA levels in the future. 

#19 Devin Lowe - Forward '98
5-11, 180 lbs - Team Maryland 18U AAA/Dulaney H.S. (co-op)
Owings Mills, MD

Club - Team captain, ECEL All-Star, AYHL18U Scoring Champion
School - Team assistant captain, MSHL All-Eastern Conference (unanimous), 2nd-team All-State, MSHL All-Academic, MSHL All-Star

Devin was the leading scorer for both his club and high school teams this year, finishing with 30 goals and 45 assists in 54 games for team Maryland and 30 points in nine contests for the Dulaney H.S. co-op team. He was the first first-team all-conference and all-state selection in Dulaney program history and helped lead Dulaney to its first-ever conference and state playoff wins - and first state playoff berth. For Team Maryland he also led the team in PPG, SHG, GWG, plus/minus and blocked shots by a forward and finished the year as the AYHL 18U AAA scoring champion with 17 goals and 24 assists in 23 league games. Devin was the second player drafted for the ECEL All-Star game played at Harvard. He led his midget team in scoring four straight years and served as captain the last three. Devin is a multi-sport athlete who has received All-MIAA honors in soccer and baseball for the Park School of Baltimore. He returns to Team DC after tying for the team scoring lead with 5 points 4 games a year ago. His future plans are to play one or two years of junior hockey and then play NCAA college hockey. 

#20 Colin Cunningham - Forward '98
5-11, 172 lbs - Piedmont Predators 18U /Battlefield H.S. 
Haymarket, VA
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - NVSHL All-Star

Colin was one of the offensive leaders for both his Battlefield High School and Piedmont Predators club team. He averaged two points per game, finishing with 10 goals and 10 assists in 10 contests in helping lead Battlefield to its first Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League playoff appearance since the 2013-14 season. For his efforts Colin was selected to play in the NVSHL All-Star Game. He also scored at better than a point-per-game clip for Piedmont, finishing with 15 goals and 13 assists in 25 contests. Colin is looking to continue playing hockey in college at the club level.

#21 Evan Yamaguchi - Forward '99
5-11, 170 lbs - Team Maryland 18U AAA /Frederick County (co-op) 
Frederick, MD

A versatile and unselfish two-way player, Evan was the second-leading scorer for Team Maryland 18U AAA and played defense for the Frederick County Hockey Club high school co-op team. Playing mostly with Team DC teammate Devin Lowe on Team Maryland's top line, he finished his AAA season with 45 points in 53 games on 21 goals and 24 assists. That included 20 points in 22 AYHL contests and 5 points in 12 ECEL outings. Evan was better than a point-per-game scorer the year before for Team Maryland 16U AAA. Manning the blue line for Frederick County this season Evan still managed to record 7 goals and 5 assists. He is undecided about his hockey future, but is considering playing at the junior level next year. 

#3 John Henrici - Defense '99
5-9, 162 lbs - DeMatha Catholic H.S. 
Silver Spring, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - Honorable Mention All-WCAC

John was a defensive anchor for a strong DeMatha team that captured the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the MAPHL semifinals. He appeared in all 38 contests for the Stags, recording four goals and six assists to earn honorable mention All-WCAC honors. John had the game-winning goal in an early-season victory against St. John's and also recorded a season-high 2 points with a goal and an assist in a February matchup with St. John's. He recorded a goal and an assist in two MAPHL playoff games, notching the goal in the quarterfinals in a 5-4 win against St. Mary's Ryken and the assist in the 4-1 semifnal loss to Calvert Hall. John is a solid puck-moving defenseman who makes good decisions with the puck and lends a physical presence. He plans on attending the University of Maryland next year and playing club hockey for the Terps.

#5 Josh Keller - Defense '98
6-3, 195 lbs - Team Maryland 18U AAA/Urbana H.S.
Walkersville, MD

School - Team captain, 1st-Team All-MVHL (all-league) , 2nd-Team All-State, MSHL All-Star, MSHL All-Academic,
MSHL Hall of Fame

Josh ended his decorated high school hockey career at Urbana high school with multiple all-league awards, second-team all-state accolades, a spot in the MSHL State All-Star Game and by being inducted into the MSHL Hall of Fame. He captained Urbana High School as a senior, leading the Hawks to an 8-3-1 record and a MVHL semifinal berth with 10 goals and 7 assists in 11 games. Josh also was a top-pairing defenseman for Team Maryland 18U AAA, playing at times in all situations and finishing the year with 4 goals an 10 assists, including 2 GWG, in 54 contests. He ranked among AYHL 18U defenseman scoring leaders most of the year, finishing with 4 goals and 4 assists in 23 games. Josh plans on continuing his hockey career at the junior level and then ultimately by playing either ACHA or NCAA college hockey. 

#6 Andrew Williams - Defense '99
6-1, 190 lbs - Tri-City Eagles 18U AA/St. Mary's Ryken H.S.
Leonardtown, MD

Andrew had a strong senior season and was a trusted top defenseman for both his St. Mary's Ryken High School and Tri-City Eagles AA hockey clubs. He finished his school campaign with 2 goals and 3 assists in 13 games to help lead St. Mary's Ryken to berths in the WCAC and MAPHL playoffs. Andrew also was a defensive leader for Tri-City, helping the Eagles earn a Chesapeake Bay Hockey League playoff berth with his steady play. He is undecided about his hockey future and is open to both junior and college opportunities. 

#7 Jackson Harnois - Defense '98
5-6, 155 lbs - Tri-City Eagles 18U AA/Quince Orchard H.S. (co-op)
Gaithersburg, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - 3-time team captain, Hobey Baker Character Award, Montgomery Hockey Conference All-Conference, MSHL All-Academic, MSHL All-Star 

Jackson is a versatile player who has been a standout defenseman for Quince Orchard High School and the Tri-CIty Eagles and is also capable of playing forward. He fulfilled both roles for Team DC last year, recording 1 goal in 4 games at America's Hockey Showcase. Jackson was one of the top defensemen on the 2016 state-champion Tri-City 18U team that advanced to USA Hockey Tier 2 Nationals. He was a three-year captain for Quince Orchard and this year received the Hobey Baker Character Award and was an all-conference pick for the Montgomery Hockey Conference as well as a MSHL All-Academic honoree and MSHL All-Star Game participant. Jackson notched 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 15 high school games as a senior, second on his team, to go along with 6 goals and 24 assists in 41 outings with Tri-City. His favorite all-time NHL player and the player he tries to pattern himself after is Bobby Orr. Jackson is listed as a defenseman but may see ice time as a forward as well. He is open to junior and college hockey opportunities. 

#30 Matt Schaab - Goalie '99
6-1, 178 lbs - Calvert Hall College H.S.
Laurel, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - 1st-Team All-MAPHL, All-MIAA A Conference

Matt had an outstanding senior year for Calvert Hall, backstopping the Cardinals to the title games in both the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Prep Hockey League. For his efforts Matt was named first-team All-MIAA and All-MAPHL. In MAPHL action he posted and 8-5 record with a 1.44 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage - not including the playoffs. Those numbers were 2.00 and .935 in the MAPHL postseason. Matt earned national recognition for an incredible save he made playing for the Howard Huskies 16U AA team in 2016 at USA Hockey Tier 2 Nationals. #31 Ben Calaman - Goalie '99
5-8, 150 lbs - Team Maryland 18U AAA/St. John's College H.S. 
Sykesville, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - Honorable Mention All-WCAC
Club - ECEL All-Star

Ben has established himself as one of the top '99 birthyear goaltenders in the DMV over the past several years, playing at the Tier 1 level for both Team Maryland and the Washington Little Caps over that time. He has shown the ability to steal games for both his high school and club teams. Ben made better than 40 saves to help lead Team Maryland to a 4-3 victory against the TPH Thunder in the first game of the USA Hockey Tier 1 Southeast District Tournament this year after leading TM to the PVAHA Tier 1 championship. Ben also helped lead St. John's to a semifinal berth in the WCAC playoffs and posted a 3.48 goals-against average in MAPHL contests. He was selected to East Coast Elite League (ECEL) Tier 1 All-Star Game and posted a 3.68 GAA and .901 save percentage in league games. Ben compiled a 3.17 GAA in AYHL games this year, helping Team Maryland to the second seed in the playoffs and ultimately a championship-game appearance. In his previous two Tier 1 campaigns Ben posted GAAs of 2.08 and 2.93. He hopes to continue his hockey career at the junior and collegiate levels.
