The 2019-20 season was Coach Vit's third with the Potomac Patriots. Under Zach's guidance the Patriots have shown steady improvement each season and he has sent several players on to play in leagues such as the NCDC and the QMJHL as well as at the NCAA Division III level. This year's team caught fire in November, putting together an 11-2 stretch from Nov. 16 to Jan. 3 and going 15-10 in its last 25 games to finish the year 20-22-2 playing in one of the toughest divisions of the 52-team USPHL Premier.

Assistant General Manager Scott Lowe
Owner/Operator DMVProspects.com

Scott Lowe enters his fIfth year as the Assistant General Manager for Team DMV. He handles team scouting, scheduling, transportation and lodging and is responsible for developing the team itinerary for the event as well as contacting junior and college scouts prior to the tournament. Scott's son, Devin, played in two America's Hockey Showcases for Team DC and was drafted by teams in both the NAHL and NCDC. Devin recently played two full seasons in the NCDC and just finished up his freshman season playing for NCAA Division III Suffolk University in Boston. After assisting with his son's recruitment and Team DC for two years, Scott determined that there was a need in the DMV area for elite hockey players who wanted to keep playing beyond youth and high school hockey to be educated on the various pathways available for them and to be assisted with getting the exposure they needed to advance to higher levels. He started the website DMVProspects.com with that as the primary mission.

Launched in August 2017, DMVProspects.com promotes all of the area AA and AAA-level teams ages 15U and up, as well as local junior programs and players competing outside of the area, with the purpose of creating a one-stop-shop for junior and college scouts and coaches to come for information about area prospects they might be interested in. While serving as his son's unofficial adviser, Scott developed a network of reputable junior and college scouts and coaches all over North America in an effort to provide opportunities for local players to realize their hockey dreams. He fields showcase teams for major spring, summer and other events and develops programs to help introduce elite players in the area to college and junior coaches and scouts who can educate them and allow them to build relationships that hopefully will allow them to continue playing. Scott will use his contacts in junior and college hockey to ensure that all of Team DMV's players get seen and talked to during the showcase.
