#16 Noah Hope - Forward '02
6-1, 150 lbs. - Tri-City Eagles 16U AA/Good Counsel HighSchool
Silver Spring, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School -  2nd-Team All-WCAC 2019, Team MVP 2019

Noah's story is a great one. Team DC's most versatile player, the coaches weren't sure whether he was a D or a forward through the first several tryouts. And as they got to know him, that made perfect sense. Noah made the ultimate sacrifice and played goalie for his Tri-City 16U AA team, while serving as a backup goalie and defenseman for his Good Counsel high school team. And, for Team DC, he is a forward after impressing the staff with his puck possession skills, willingness to go into the dirty areas and high hockey IQ. When he grows into his body we see him as a power forward who will be very tough to play against. He is hard to defend when taking the puck wide with speed. Noah is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win and is strong in all three zones. He doesn't avoid physical play and keeps his feet moving. Noah was a second-team All-WCAC selection and All-MAPHL selection for Good Counsel on defense. This summer, Noah will participate in a 10-day mission trip in Jamaica and then will begin preparation for various hockey development opportunities. He plans to continue playing travel hockey for a AA or AAA team and for Good Counsel throughout his senior year and then he will consider his junior hockey and college options beyond that.

Leydig DC Headshot.jpg
#19 Luke Leydig - Forward '02
5-7, 150 lbs. - DeMatha High School
Crofton, MD

Luke is a high-energy forward who always seems to be around the puck and plays with a high hockey IQ. He is not afraid to be physical or shy away from physical play and is more than happy to go into the hard areas. Luke also plays with his head up and possesses great vision and a knack for getting to the puck to the right teammate at the right time. He has the skill to play among the top six and the grit and energy to help stabilize the bottom six. Luke projects to be a great penalty killer for Team DC in the showcase and could be used in all situations. He is strong enough in all three zones and on faceoffs to play center and tough enough on the wall to be a contributor on the wing. Luke was a key player for the WCAC-champion DeMatha High School Stags, concluding the MAPHL regular season with 11 points on three goals and eight assists in 10 games. For the season, he finished with 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points overall in 35 contests. Luke's dad, Craig, is a longtime equipment manager for the STANLEY CUP CHAMPION Washington Capitals. Ryan is a high-energy player who possess a diverse skill set that allows him to be a top or middle-six forward. He possesses good speed and skilled hands and a very hard, accurate shot. Ryan is not afraid to play with a physical edge or take a hit to make a play. He was a key member of DeMatha Catholic High School's regular-season MAPHL championship and WCAC championship team while also playing for the Team Maryland 18U AAA team. Lutherville, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School -  1st-Team MIAA All-Academic 2019, 2nd-Team MAPHL All-Academic 2019

Aidan is a big, strong forward who is hard to knock off the puck. He uses his body and puck-possession skills to get pucks deep and create opportunities. Aidan moves well, especially for a player of his size, and seems to take it to another gear when he has the puck on his stick. He has a powerful shot and can finish, but also plays with his head up and has the ability to find open teammates in scoring position. When at his highest compete level, Aidan can be very difficult to play with as he doesn't shy away from contact and is willing to be physical when necessary. As he continues to develop physically Aidan projects to be a power forward and even more difficult for defensemen to handle. Aidan is a strong student who earned all-academic honors for his Calvert Hall H.S. team while producing 10 goals and six assists. For his Tomorrow's Ice 16U AA EJEPL team, Aidan finished the year with 18 goals and 15 assists.
