#13 Gavin Gustafson - Forward '01

School - Honorable Mention All-CSHL

Gavin is a player who always seems to be around the puck. He is very tenacious in the offensive zone. Gavin has a high skill level and plays a creative offensive game. Can finish and create opportunities for his teammates. He plays with a lot of energy and has a good motor. Gavin earned honorable mention All-Capital Scholastic Hockey League honors for CSHL North Division-champion West Potomac High School. He recorded seven goals and six assists in nine games for West Potomac while also playing  club hockey for the Northern Virginia Ice Dogs 16U AA. Gavin will continue to play travel hockey at home this year while he graduates from high school and then will look at his junior hockey and college options. He comes to St. Louis straight from a mission trip to Panama called Operation Walk, which is an orthopedic organization that travels to places that need, but can't afford, medical assistance. They saw 48 patients and performed 60 joint surgeries on the five-day trip. Gavin assisted with everything and was proud to be named "Wheel Chair Wheelie King." 

#16 Peter Haas - Forward '00
6-1, 145 lbs. - Piedmont Predators 18U/Forest Park-Hylton H.S.

School - Honorable Mention All-CSHL

Peter has a nose for the puck and a knack for making smart plays with the puck once it's on his stick. His length and reach allow him to cause problems for opposing puck carriers, yet he's still good with the puck in tight areas. Should be an asset in front of the goal on the power play and positions himself well to get scoring opportunities off of rebounds. Peter was an honorable mention All-CSHL selection playing for Forest Park-Hylton's co-op high school team. He finished with six goals and two assists in high school regular-season play while playing as a defenseman and showing his versatility. Playing as a forward for the Piedmont Predators 18U team, Peter recorded 10 goals and 18 assists in 40 contests. He hopes to play junior hockey next year while graduating and then to see what hockey and college options he has beyond that. Peter plans on studying business/construction management in college. 

#4 Christian Halbig - Defense '01
5-9, 160 lbs. - Team Maryland 16U AAA/DeMatha Catholic H.S.
Queenstown, MD

Christian is a smooth-skating defenseman who makes smart plays and excels at moving the puck out of the defensive zone. While he plays more of a stay-at-home style, he has the skill and instincts to contribute offensively and does a good job keeping pucks in the zone and getting pucks to the net. Picks and chooses his times to get involved offensively, but when he does it's usually the right decision. Was part of a strong defensive corps for a DeMatha High School team that captured its second straight WCAC title and advanced to the MAPHL championship game. Christian had seven points in a combined 30 ECEL and AYHL games pairing for Team Maryland 18U AAA. For DeMatha he finished with three goals and 11 assists in 36 contests. Christian plans on playing for DeMatha and Team Maryland next year and will consider junior and college options after that. He hopes to study sports medicine in college. 

#2 Brian Kerrigan - Defense '00
5-10, 174 lbs. - Potomac Patriots USPHL Elite & Premier/Kettle Run H.S. 
Warrenton, VA

Brian is a swift skating, puck mover on the blue line who can carry the puck and join the rush while having the speed to get back and handle his defensive responsibilities. He is capable of playing in all situations after spending this season playing for both the Potomac Patriots USPHL Elite and Premier teams. Brian is planning on returning to Potomac to play at the Premier level next year while finishing up at Kettle Run High School. He had seven goals and six assists for Potomac in 44 USPHL Elite games this year. For Kettle Run he contributed eight goals and four assists in 12 contests. His future plans include playing junior hockey and pursuing hockey at the NCAA Division III level. 

#30 Jack MacKinnon - Goalie '00
5-11, 170 lbs. - Potomac Patriots USPHL Elite/Bishop O'Connell H.S. 
Falls Church, VA

School - NVSHL All-Star , Honorable Mention Washington Post All-Met

Jack is a quick and athletic goalie who is capable of the spectacular save at a big moment. He is aggressive and seems to get better the more action he sees in a game. Jack is the most experienced netminder on the team, having played a full season of junior hockey as well as serving as the No. 1 goalie for a strong Bishop O'Connell team that was a WCAC finalist, an MAPHL semifinalist and the NVSHL champions. He posted a .923 save percentage and a 2.30 goals-against average overall for O'Connell to earn NVSHL All-Star and Washington Post honorable mention All-Met honors while also appearing in 18 contests for the Potomac Patriots USPHL Elite team. He often was a bright spot on a Potomac team that struggled, keeping them in many games despite seeing 40 or more shots regularly. A former Washington Little Caps AAA goalie, Jack is looking to continue playing at the junior level while finishing high school and looking at his future hockey and college options. He hopes to study sports medicine in college. 

#21 Jack Massey - Forward '00
5-11, 175 lbs. - Reston Raiders 18U AA/Gonzaga College High School
Great Falls, VA

Jack is an extremely smart player away from the puck who keeps his feet moving and finds seams in the defense that allow his teammates to get hi the puck in quality scoring areas. He also plays with a high level of skill and has his head up all the time. Jack competes and moves his feet in all three zones and is capable of playing on any line in any situation. In addition to his playmaking ability, he is able to finish. Jack was a key depth forward for the MAPHL-champion and top-ranked Gonzaga College High School team, scoring three points in MAPHL games. He was a top offensive producer for his Reston Raiders 18U AA club team, notching 39 goals and 21 assists in 34 games. Jack is planning on finishing his hockey and academic career at Gonzaga while continuing to play club hockey. He is interested in playing junior and college hockey beyond that and would like to study finance in college. 

#20 Henry Pendleton - Forward '01
5-10, 170 lbs. - Team Maryland 18U AAA/DeMatha Catholic H.S. 
Annapolis, MD

Henry is a hard-working forward with good speed and skill who has really come into his own in the past year. A member of the WCAC-champion DeMatha High School team as well as Team Maryland 16U AAA, Henry is a strong two-way player who uses his speed to be effective at both ends of the ice and has enough skill to create and finish offensively. He recently accepted an offer to play 18U AAA for the Islanders Hockey Club next year and is very serious about pursuing junior and college hockey after next year. Henry was selected to attend the USA Hockey Southeast District selection camp last year and recently attended the NAHL combine in Michigan. He had six goals and four assists in 28 games for DeMatha this year to go along with nine points in 28 contests for Team Maryland. Henry is willing to travel to pursue his hockey goals and is looking to possibly study sports medicine in college. 

#18 Daniel Pimenov - Forward '00
5-8, 160 lbs. - Montgomery Blue Devils 18U AA/Walter Johnson H.S.  
Bethesda, MD
Hockey Awards & Honors:
School - 1st Team Al-Montgomery County

Daniel is a strong skater who plays a very creative and high-skill game. Has the speed and hands to take on defenders one-on-one, but also has good vision and the willingness and ability to create scoring chances for his teammates. Always seems to be around the puck and can score and create. Daniel has received AAA and junior offers for next season and is very serious about pursuing hockey at the junior and college levels. He scored 20 points on 11 goals and nine assists in 13 games for Walter Johnson High School this year to earn first-team All-Montgomery County honors. Daniel recorded seven goals and seven assists in 19 league games to help lead his Montgomery Blue Devils 16U AA team to the EJEPL semifinals. He plans on playing at the AAA level this year for the Junior Flyers National team then pursuing junior and college opportunities after graduation. 

#15 Erick Reiniger - Forward '01
5-10, 155 lbs. - DeMatha Catholic High School
Crofton, MD

Erick is a talented, shifty forward who can score. He has a very hard and accurate shot and finds ways to set himself to get the shot off even in high-traffic areas. He also is a smooth skater with good skill and an ability to see the ice. His shot and vision allow him to draw defenders and set up teammates for quality scoring chances. In addition to his offensive abilities, he is able to play a physical game as necessary and plays bigger than he is at times. Erick led the WCAC-champion and MAPHL runner-up DeMatha Stags in scoring this year, notching 24 goals and 19 assists for 43 points in 39 games. He is undecided about his hockey future, but plans on attending DeMatha and graduating then looking at his options. 

#12 Alex Simuro - Forward '01
5-11, 145 lbs. - Northen Virginia Ice Dogs 16U AA/Bishop Ireton H.S.  
Alexandria, VA

School -  2-Time Team Captain, 3-Time NVSHL All-Academic, 2017 NVSHL All-Star
Club -  Team Captain

Alex is a playmaker with a very high hockey IQ who always plays with his head up and makes his linemates better. A strong skater with good skill, he makes precise passes and has a knack for setting up teammates, but also can finish. He keeps his feet moving and competes in all three zones. Alex totaled eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in 13 high school games for Bishop Ireton. For his Nova Ice Dogs 16U AA club teamm he was an offensive leader, notching 16 goals and 30 assists for 46 points in 50 contests. A natural leader and outstanding student, he captained both teams and has earned NVSHL All-Academic honors three times. Alex also was an NVSHL All-Star in 2017 and is a two-time honorable mention All-WCAC soccer player. He is a member of the National Honor Society and will continue to play travel and school hockey through graduation while continuing to look at his future hockey and college options. 

#6 Jack Stanely - Defense '01
6-1, 170 lbs. - Northen Virginia Ice Dogs 16U AA/Washington-Lee H.S.
Arlington, VA

Club - Team Captain

Jack is an extremely smart, puck-moving defenseman who can kickstart the offense with a pinpoint pass out of the defensive zone. He poswesses tremendous vision and makes tough plays look easy. Jack also has good size and uses his reach and ability to read angles to his advantage against faster players. He is very sound positionally and rarely gets beaten. He makes good reads offensively and creates scoring opportunities by getting pucks to the net and finding open teammates despite rarely taking chances. Jack led Washington-Lee High School in scoring with 13 goals and 12 assists in 12 games from the blue line to earn CSHL Player of the Year and first-team Washington Post All-Met honors. An excellent student, Jack also was named to the CSHL All-Academic team. He had nine goals and 27 assists in 46 games as a co-captain for his Nova 16U AA club team. Jack will continue playing school and club hockey and is undecided about his hockey future beyond that. He hopes to study political science in college.
